I want to say thanks to HGTV and Rae McConville for featuring my new ginger jar decal in the March 2014 issue of HGTV Magazine. It was great partnering with them on this creative project idea. The decal is versatile and can be used on many surfaces, not just a vase. It's available with or without the ebony wooden base here
Time has been at a premium for me lately, folks. Lots going on around here, but still have found time to paint a few new pieces and this is one of them - "Tonic Water". It's larger than most at 24x36x1.5 and features some colors that will perk up your place!
Can be hung vertically or horizontally and in any direction as you see fit. Find it here
Hope you have a really nice weekend!

Design-wise, I am a dichotemy. Part of me loves tried & true traditionalism and the other part of me digs the cutting edge, offbeat and innovative. I guess enjoy stuff that manages to satisfy both.
How's this for putting a hip spin on a classic? Just another great find on Etsy- the neon cuckoo clock.

Have a wonderful Holiday weekend and a big thanks to all of our military and their families for your service & sacrifice!
I know it's been a trend for a while now, but beach photography in decor is something I never get bored with. Just like being at the beach, its' appeal doesn't wane with me. This piece is from London-based Etsy artist/photographer Keri Bevan and is a steal. Check out some of her other prints also, like this beautiful Paris rooftop scene - timeless and chic!
It just makes me happy to look at her work.
Here's hoping you enjoy your weekend!

Last week I featured a beautiful necklace by CRAVE and it was a big hit. Since then, owner/designer Erin Garrity contacted me and graciously offered a 10% discount on her site to all of my readers with this code: ANNECHOVIE
Pick up something gorgeous for yourself or a friend to complete your Spring fashion look.
Here's a great little backstory Erin gave me on the origins of CRAVE. One night she had dinner plans with her boyfriend and decided to make a necklace to wear that evening. At dinner, a woman approached her, asking her where she got her necklace. Erin replied, "I made it!" the woman asked if she had a website and at the time, Erin did not, so she asked how much the necklace was. Erin gave her a price and she bought it right off of her neck! Elated and inspired, Erin went home to create more and more necklaces and that was how Crave was born!! Check out her terrific shop HERE and be sure to use code ANNECHOVIE at checkout to get your 10% discount.

Etsy has some cool stuff, folks AND you are supporting the underdog and providing creative people with a way to survive. You could very well be sparing them from utter despair as they might otherwise have to toil at a cannery or worse yet, be a garbage collector!!
Have a restful weekend and thanks for reading this little blog.

Etsy has been a great venue for me to sell my work for the last 6 years. I also try to support my fellow Etsy sellers anytime I can. If only Etsy could stop the rip-off artists who steal my work and market it as their own, I'd be perfectly happy. In the meantime, I need to send a cease and desist letter to some unscrupulous copycat who is somehow ignorant of the immutable fact that you will definitely end up reaping what you sow in life and if you're a dishonest thief, that doesn't bode well for your future.
Ok, off my soapbox now....deep breath.

Keeping all the victims of Hurricane Sandy in my prayers and wishing you all a very good weekend!
There is a shop on Etsy from LA that I love to peruse. It's called "Andie's Specialty Sweets" and is what I would definitely term "a feast for the eyes". Never before have I seen such creative and realistic sculptures that were also edible. Everything looks good to me and even though I don't really consider myself a sweets person, per se, these really grab me. The only issue I would have is actually consuming them because it would seem like you were destroying a carfeully crafted work of art! I think they would make lovely host/hostess gifts or a wonderful conversation piece to top a dessert at a special dinner party or celebratory occasion. It'd be pretty difficult to narrow down my favorite....what about you? What would you choose?
