Coral-ish pink is a hot color this year and has always been a favorite of mine. I think it has extra impact in the Parisian dining room of Mathilde Agostinelli. Everything about this room is spectacular, from the oval shape, to the cove ceiling to the wall color.

Mathilde's daughter's room

The living room with plush tufted magenta sofa. Looks so luxe and inviting!

I know it's been a trend for a while now, but beach photography in decor is something I never get bored with. Just like being at the beach, its' appeal doesn't wane with me. This piece is from London-based Etsy artist/photographer Keri Bevan and is a steal. Check out some of her other prints also, like this beautiful Paris rooftop scene - timeless and chic!

It just makes me happy to look at her work.
All here.
Here's hoping you enjoy your weekend!

Happy Monday!
I had a busy weekend and was able to check quite a few items off my to-do list and I am regaining my footing as far as work goes. I am settling in and loving my new place - very efficient and comfortable. I also spent some time at my local garden center as I have decided to take another stab at growing tomatoes and am reading up on successful cultivation of heirloom varieties. Call me crazy, but the scent of tomato leaves is wonderful. If you have any tips, please feel free to share. I hope that you had a nice weekend, too!

"St. Honore" is the latest print on stretched canvas from my dessert series. It's from an original painting of a Parisian delicacy. It's available here.

I was looking through my files and came across this photo of the Louvre by my brother Josh. It brings back some magical memories of walking through Paris at night with both he and my sister a few years back. I was the one who insisted on the three of us walking several miles back to the hotel....they have never let me forget it, as my sister needed to find a restroom and it took us much longer than I had projected. LOL. Good times and priceless memories - the photos that resulted aren't too bad either, as my brother is very talented. Do you have any travel photos that bring back a flood of memories for you?

Blythe beach photo by Gina Garan (if I ever acquire a surfboard, it's going to be PINK!)
Special thanks to Anne Tonnerre of A Thing of Beauty blog for including my work in a post today as one of 100 Great Etsy Artists. Anne is based in Paris, France and did a wonderful job compiling a list of many terrific Etsy artists, some of whom I wasn't familiar with yet and can't wait to check out. I was honored (and humbled at the same time) to be included in the company of such very talented people. Thank you, Anne, for taking the time to compile this list and to promote and nurture independent art and artists!

P.S. Anne is also a big Blythe fan, like me!

Acrylic on board (6x6)

This is an original painting of a wonderful pastry, the St. Honore Framboise, from the famed Parisian Patisserie, Laduree. This delectable treat is "floating" on an aqua background. Painted on 1/4 inch gesso board w/painted edges. Perfect for framing or leave as is. A thoughtful gift for someone sweet!
