OFF TO LONDON.....
I am off in London for the weekend with my Dear Husband.
Who knew being married could be so sublime? We have very limited time, not enough to see all of my London friends (sadly!) but hoping to hit up a few highlights and absorb some of that delightful English vibe and culture. I may be updating via Instagram so if you'd like, you can follow me here

I know that I have been terrible about blogging lately, but sometimes there are things that are pressing and you have to just stick to priorities and let the rest go without stressing too much. It's been another very busy week, but I am feeling better because I am checking some major tasks off my list and just met a big commission deadline. Time to take a little time off this weekend to spend celebrating my husband's birthday and catching up on a little rest. I love this photo because it conveys a homey kind of warmth and looks like a niche somewhere in a cozy London breakfast room.

THE HITCHING POST
I generally consider myself a pretty private person and don't want to ever be "one of those" who over-expose and publish every mundane little detail of their existence. However, I just married the love of my life at the perfect relaxed beach ceremony and figured that might warrant a mention to share with my peeps here on Annechovie. Wow. I can hardly believe it's been 6 years since I started this little blog!
It's been a great vehicle for growth, networking, sharing my work and getting to meet so many of you.
I am thankful for all of God's blessings in my life during the past 7 years. Even the trials, challenges and very difficult times as well as the triumphs and joys. Thanks to all of you for your support - it has meant so much.
As Annechovie turns 6 and I face an exciting new chapter in my own life, I am challenged to perk things up around here and share more as the days go on.

CHANEL SUPER-SIZED
I hope that your weekend was a good one!
In response to many requests, I have gone larger with many of my prints on stretched canvas and this is one of them. One of my most popular prints, the Chanel No. 5 is now available in a 24x30 size for big impact in your room. Available in 7 colors - white, black, mint, blush pink, fuschia, tangerine and aqua here.

ISLAMORADA PART 2
I couldn't resist posting a photo of "Anne's Beach" - this tree cropping out of the water is a landmark there.
The water is crystal clear, as you can see.
Islamorada is a sportfishing mecca and so if you love to catch fish or EAT fish (as I do) this is the place for you.
The waters surrounding are teeming with Sailfish, Marlin and many other species prized by serious sportfishers.
I didn't do any fishing myself, but I certainly consumed quite a bit of it. We are talking almost every meal.
My mercury levels may now be rivaling those of a thermometer....
Lazy Days is a casual eatery on the water with a beautiful view and an endless vista - you can bring in fish you caught yourself and they will prepare it for you.
My yellowtail with capers, onions and tomato was out of this world!
The place is rife with tropical wildlife, including large iguanas. Thankfully, they keep their distance.
I don't know about you, but I do not mix well with reptiles and amphibians and that goes way back to being a preschooler and the reptile/amphibian house at the zoo.
Hanging at the Cheeca Lodge
Outdoor seating is everywhere and savoring the tropical breezes and warm sunshine is an art in itself.
Speaking of fish.....this place has amazing sushi and a macadamia crusted yellowtail that will melt in your mouth
the crunchy roll is recommended.
If you share my love of shells and coral, this unassuming little joint is a place you don't want to miss.
What it lacks in refinement, it more than makes up for in stellar bargains and a super patient, unusually good-humored woman who patiently and carefully wraps your treasures to protect from breakage.
The Shell Shack will provide you with a solid dose of seaside kitsch that we all need to make a trip to the beach truly therapeutic.
So, in conclusion, when visiting Islamorada, be sure to:
soak up the sun, eat plenty of fish, relish the sight of aqua waters, boats, orchid trees, bougainvillea and come away with some great shells & coral to "beach" up your place back home.
I guarantee that you will leave with a smile on your face, as I did!
TOUCHES OF CHEER
Not much surfing takes place here in my neck of the woods, but nonetheless, I dig the look of surfboards and saw this at my local Trader Joe's. With my frequent mentions, you probably think that's the only place outside of my studio that I go.
A girl's got to eat....
I never tire of Palm Trees and have a mild fixation with them.
This is a new nail color I picked up while in Honolulu that I am sporting on my toes at the moment.
It shows up glowing neon under UV light.
This is the only photo that I did NOT take (*that probably accounts for it's clarity and great lighting)
but it's in Greece and I am crazy about the bougainvillea against the white with the brilliant blue shutters mixed in. I want to visit the Greek Isles. Badly.
